Facial Rejuvenation

We use the advanced Gemini treatment head Microdermabrasion system. Microdermabrasion is a gentle, relaxing treatment with minimal discomfort and producing only slight redness. Most people return to normal daily activities with nothing more than a vibrant, healthy looking complexion.

Using the Gemini Diamond encrusted tip system the combination of exfoliation and mild suction increases blood flow and stimulates the production of fresh new living cells. Several treatments, usually one every two weeks, is optimal for the best results. The number of treatments depends on the skin condition and our skin care specialist will determine the correct regime for you. Sunscreen and an excellent moisturizer are applied immediately - eye makeup and lipstick can be applied right after. It is advisable to wait 24 hours before using cream foundation or blush.

The effects of Microdermabrasion will be enhanced and prolonged by using an individualized skin care program, formulated especially for you, using Physician-produced Medique™ products, (only available through Physician's office), Retinol and Vitamin C compounds. These products are all available in our clinic and are vital to good skin care and maintenance. These products should be discontinued 48 hours prior to and after your Microdermabrasion. Soothing creams and moisturizers and, of course, daily sunscreen, will pamper your skin and give you that new youthful glow.

Glycolic Facial Peels - Medical Grade - Vitalize Peels

Glycolic peels are recommended for men and women whose skin shows signs of aging, brown marks, uneven tone, fine lines and wrinkles, blackheads and acne. Glycolics loosen these cells allowing the dead skin to slough off, leaving the skin underneath with a fresher healthier look and feel. With higher concentrations and long-term use, glycolic acids may affect the deeper layers of the skin causing collagen and elastin to regenerate, diminishing fine lines in the face.

Over time and with sun exposure there is a gradual slowing down in the rate old cells leave the skin surface. This results in a surface layer that is dead and dull, giving the appearance of aged skin. Glycolic peels are applied by a highly trained nurse or medically trained aesthetician or Physician (the Physician is always in attendance for the higher grade peels).

Peels range from 30% to 70% of glycolic acid, depending on skin sensitivity, and are gently increased in strength and duration. A series of about 6 - 7 peels are required for best results, being performed approximately every 2 weeks. The recommended maintenance of your rejuvenated skin is the daily use of a specialized skin care regime formulated especially for you including the Physician-produced Glycolic product line, Medique™, (available at our clinic), and a moderate grade peel every 2 -3 months. This is a relaxing treatment with nothing more than a slight tingling sensation and leaves the skin looking soft, smooth, calm and refreshed. With an application of lipstick and eye make up, you leave ready to resume the day with a lovely radiant complexion.
Of course the most important skin care tip - Sunscreen.
